How Can I Start Using the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection to Heal Myself? – Mind Body Spirit

The health damaging effects of stress have been well documented. Heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, gastro-intestinal problems, and auto-immune disease are only some of the diseases that are closely linked to increased stress. Our immune system is especially susceptible to negative emotions. Deepak Chopra says in his book, Quantum Healing, “Our immune system is continuously eaves-dropping on our thoughts and feelings. Studies have corroborated this notion: major depressive disorders are associated with increases in infectious disease risk as well as the incidence of inflammatory disorders. Declines of natural killer (NK) cell activity are reliably found in depression, whereas other studies report evidence of inflammation in depressed patients. Other studies showed that emotional stress correlated with impaired DNA repair mechanisms in cells that were subjected to radiation. Another trial suggested that anxiety, anger, and negative attitudes are a 30 times stronger risk factor for cancer thank smoking. These and other studies show is that inner balance is one of the most important keys to healing. This means that you want to make sure that what you see, hear, smell, taste, feel, and think are supporting your healing. Start with choosing a team of doctors and health care practitioners that are in alignment with your intention to completely heal. It is still a mystery to me why most hospitals look so sterile and impersonal. Even Motel 6 is able to create a more inviting and friendly atmosphere. Although you may not be able to be too picky about the looks of the facility, you need to choose your healing team wisely. Many times I have been told stories of doctors, who were bombarding their patients with discouraging and strongly limiting messages. “You will always have to live with the pain,” “there is nothing anyone can do,” etc. Being a physician myself, I know that there is a positive intention behind these rather negative and disempowering messages-whether it is the idea to “be realistic” or “not encourage false hope,” or simply to prepare the patient for the “inevitable”. However, doctors rarely consider the destructive and deflating effects on the patient’s psyche that outweigh any possible positive outcome. In our society, a physician is such an authority figure, that whatever he or she says has enormous impact on the patient. As a physician, I often felt that patients gave up faith in their self-healing abilities, completely surrendering and trusting in the abilities and wisdom of the doctors. Many young physicians are not prepared for this and don’t know how to deal with the power that is handed to them by their patients. The movie, The Doctor, should be a requirement for medical students. William Hurt plays a doctor who realizes how little he knows about healthcare when he himself is diagnosed with throat cancer. As a doctor he was mighty and all knowing, but as a patient he has to endure being treated as a helpless kid, without regard for his feelings and his dignity.Unfortunately this is not only a Hollywood story; I am sure that many of you have had or are having similar experiences. Doctors and health care providers aren’t the only culprits. Family and friends can also be the source of “gloom and doom” messages. A colleague of mine told me the story of a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer. During their first session, she was feeling more and more encouraged and determined to focus on her healing and get well again. As soon as she came home and told her family that she would heal, they warned her not get her hopes up, that she’d heard the diagnosis and should know that there was not much that could be done. A few weeks later she died. Here are a few suggestions that will help you to establish more emotional balance that can in turn support your healing.

Take the messages from the medical field and others with a grain of salt-especially if they are limiting and disempowering. Avoid obsessive “Googling” on the Internet, which can often lead to more fear and discouragement.
Choose a medical support system and personal environment that are in alignment with your beliefs about your healing.
Focus on what you want, which is health and well-being! Rather than identifying yourself with a diagnosis, see yourself as a person who has the potential and the ability to heal and create well-being.
Find ways to regularly relax and bring your body into a parasympathetic state, which is the healing state. Meditating, listening to calming music, being in nature, and taking a bath are just some examples that can help you to achieve this state.

Mind, Body, Spirit Is Not A Cliche – Mind Body Spirit

It is often suggested that the term “Mind, Body, Spirit” is an overused cliché in a field that tries to deceive people for money. As I worker in this field I strongly disagree with that idea.Because I had no idea that I was a Medium until I was 34 years old I know what it feels like to hope that the Spirit World (or Heaven) exists but have nothing to base that hope on. However, even though I felt like that I never dismissed the feelings or beliefs of others if they told me that they were sure that Heaven existed.I hadn’t followed the Psychic field, nor was I into Mediumship in a big way. I’d seen Doris Stokes once and a local Medium once and thought they were both incredible, but it never occurred to me to go again. Except for Doris Stokes’ books I didn’t have anything else in the house, nor did I think about Spirituality day in and day out. I worked, I saw our families, I kept a house and I loved my cats. That’s it.Then I became a Medium half way through a telephone conversation with a friend. I’ve never forgotten the moment, in fact it’s imprinted in my memory in minute detail.First I had a strange feeling that I wasn’t alone. Then a picture jumped into my mind’s eye of two crystal pots, one of which held jam and one marmalade, along with an impression that someone was telling me “never the twain would meet.”I tried to ignore the picture but it kept coming back more insistently each time, and I began to lose the thread of my conversation with my friend. She asked me what was wrong and I told her. She surprised me by saying “I know exactly what that means. Anything else?” As she said that I saw a single pink rose laid down in front of the two pots, so I told her.It transpired that her late parents’ wish for their retirement was to be able to have their condiments in crystal pots, dad liked marmalade and mum liked jam, and never the twain would meet (as they said often apparently). My friend was as sure as she could be that I’d heard her mother called “my Mum” or “Lesley’s Mum”, but it transpired that her name was rose.I then got other information through that Lesley told me was for a friend of hers that I knew of but had never met. Lesley arranged for me to go and see Rosemary, which I did. Rosemary sat me down in her living room and said “start talking.” I asked what about and she said “Whatever comes into your mind.” So I did.At the end of the session Rosemary told me that she had no doubt that I had contact with her late husband, Esmond, and I should ask him why he’d come. I asked how and she said “In your mind.” I asked and he told me it was to introduce me to my Guide – Eduoard Fouchard. When they both pulled back Rosemary asked me if I had any questions and I said “Yes, what’s a Guide?”That was my introduction to the presence of the Spirit World, to be able to feel a being with me so real that I honestly thought if I turned round a living person would be there, and for me as a person who couldn’t claim to have seen or spoken to Spirit all her life it was and is real.Obviously I can’t give anyone that experience, believe me I would if I could because it’s an amazing thing to have in your life, but I can tell you why the of a Spirit World and the knowledge that somehow disincarnate beings can contact me, works for me as a completely logical belief.Firstly, it isn’t just Mediums who sense the Spirit World, when I do a talk or workshop I will discover that 2 out of 3 people have had an experience in their life or reported in their family that cannot be explained any other way than paranormal. Like me these weren’t people expecting it or necessarily believing in the field, it just happened and they can’t explain it in any other way.Secondly, most cultures in recorded history had a strong belief system that there was some kind of Spirit World, and they had that belief for a reason. Some would say it was a method of controlling the populace, some would say it was a joint delusion caused by fear of death. Yet people have been prepared to die for those beliefs and I would suggest that you wouldn’t die for something that didn’t feel extremely real to you.Lastly, my experience (and that of my friends and co-trainees on courses) tells me that when I’m channeling Spirit there is someone else with me. I can feel them there and if I can’t feel them then I can’t work, it’s as simple as that. They feel absolutely real. They are capable of communicating factual information in the form of dates, events, names, passing conditions, etcetera, that can be verified by the people receiving the messages. The people receiving the messages are the public and believe me they’re not the pushovers that the cynics would have you believe. They come for proof and by and large they expect proof. You do get the odd person who would take anything you gave them, but they are few and far between. Most clients are discerning, determined, and the know exactly what they want – facts! My own personal feeling is that it would be ridiculous to conclude that we are the result of an accidental collision between a sperm and an egg. There is too much evidence of past lives – again from people who didn’t expect to be talking about previous lives – for my historical training to dismiss it easily. Therefore the only thing that makes sense to me is that we come from and return to the Spirit World. As I told my brother when he asked me what made me believe in Heaven – I’ve never questioned it, never once in my life, to do so would feel ridiculous. Don’t ask me to explain it better than that, I’ve just felt that there was something else for as long as I can remember. I also had some interesting dreams for most of my childhood that would need an entire other article to explain, but they can’t be explained any other way than paranormal. Although it took me nearly 20 years more to realise that.In which case, we are mind (thinking/logic), body (you can see it), and Spirit (gut instinct/intuition/psychic ability). That’s a fact and we should embrace every ability we have within our own beings to maintain a balanced and harmonious outlook and to guide our lives sensibly, practically, and with reference to our true and honest desires. It isn’t all about being a Psychic Medium – it’s all about being all of you.Wishing you happy days and peaceful nightsDeb

Can a Mind Body Spirit Detox Help Mental Health and Healing? – Mind Body Spirit

The Human Spirit is the Key to Mental Emotional and Physical HealthThe key to understanding the connection between all these parts of our self is the energy body, the subtle energy system, the missing link to health, happiness and freedom, on all levels, a real existing part of us that is totally ignored and unaccepted as reality in conventional approaches to mental health, and yet, the energy body, the spirit person, the human spirit is the key to health on all levels. The Mental Health Foundation has defined a mentally healthy individual as one who can: Develop emotionally, creatively, intellectually and spiritually
Initiate develop and sustain satisfying personal relationships
Face problems, resolve and learn from them
Be confident and assertive
Be aware of others and empathize with them
Use and enjoy solitude
Play and have fun
Laugh at themselves and the worldSo how did we develop mental health issues and problems?Let’s explore this from the point of view of the human energy system, the human spirit. We have an energy body. We can’t see it, though some technologies do allow us to see energy fields of living things. Some talk about the aura, chakras, and meridians for energy to flow in the energy body. Many successful healing therapies are based on the existence of the energy system and restoring flow when it is blocked. And this is the key, finding blockage and restoring flow in the energy system. So how does it get blocked in the first place? Ah well, that’s life. Our energy system is processing life events, people, nature, things in through and out of the energy system, in the same way as the physical body processes food in through and out. We eat, digest, circulate, metabolize, get energy from, and are regenerated by, then eliminate the food that we eat. That’s in through and out, changing us in the process. When everything is flowing well, we body processes are healthy. If we get blockage in any are problems and symptoms start to develop e.g. indigestion, colon problems, liver problems, arteries, lymph. It’s all about circulation and getting the nutrients to the right parts. After that the body knows how to be healthy. So how does flow and nutrition relate to mental health? We process the energies of life in the same way, in through and out. We compare this to acceptance, understanding, compassion, learning, releasing, forgiving, transformation and evolution, and delight and enjoyment in the process. All our positive emotional experiences we can now see as the flow of the energy of life through our energy system. It feels good. Positive emotions arise from flow of these energies of life through our energy system and energy nutrition is the learning, the feel good factor, the growth, the transformation we get from that aspect of life. This is healthy flow. This is in fact how we are designed, just as the body is designed to be healthy. This is our natural starting state, until life happened! What are blockages in the Energy Body? So, as we can get blockage in the physical body, we get blockage in the energy body. For example, we avoid because we can’t handle something, we cannot accept, we resist, or we hurt if we do accept, we hold on, we don’t understand well, we don’t see clearly, we can’t forgive and we feel bad. These are our painful emotions and we feel this in the body too.In fact, where we feel it in the body is where the energy is stuck.Events of Life Stuck in ProcessingSo when we are not in that state of mental health that we defined above, it’s because something happened to us, an event that we processed through our energy system, but it got stuck along the way. Maybe it was too big to handle for a young energy system. So there it stayed, that energy forever attached to the thought or memory of that event, held in the energy body, at the physical location that we can feel, when we recall it. And life continues to happen, events upon events, stored causing further blockage and behaviors that arise from these blockages because somewhere along the way, the support wasn’t there to help that person process and release those events in life. So growth and learning didn’t happen. Nourishment of the spirit to bring confidence and strength didn’t happen.Furthermore a blocked energy system, has reduced ability to process future events, coping ability is impaired. We emotionally react. Eventually the discomfort of handling life can be so great that disconnection is required, numbing out the feelings and ongoing pressure leads to depression. It’s all Energy and Only EnergyIt’s all a form of energy indigestion, energy constipation, and energetic injury of some kind.Understanding this is really great news. Now that we have energy release techniques in the growing field of energy psychology, such as EFT, EmoTrance, TAT and more, we can locate and release the blockage, restore the flow, and heal the energy system. Once more in flow, the state of health returns. We feel relaxed and free, we see clearly from a new perspective, we have new resources we didn’t have before for this situation. We have learned and grown. We are back to mental emotional and spiritual health. We can do this for all life events that got stuck in processing through the energy system and these techniques allow us to release the energy without having to talk about these events over and over again. So, energy healing, also called healing the spirit, is a key to facilitating mental healing. Why Come on a Retreat for Mental Healing?By the time a person is depressed, suffering chronic anxiety, has low confidence and self esteem, is numb or disconnected, there is a lot of life events stored in the energy system that need releasing.A number of therapy sessions are recommend, using EFT or EmoTrance or TAT and there is unequivocal evidence gathered over many years from thousands of people of the effectiveness of these techniques to create mental healing and change. This can be a challenge to those who follow more conventional talk therapies and medication approaches, and so we find resistance from that sector, but thankfully, not from everyone.A healing retreat is the perfect opportunity to spend time in a supportive environment and receive a number of healing sessions, tuning in to key events and releasing them, creating increasing flow within, increasing relaxation, lightness and clarity. It’s a chance to make some real progress in creating change and forward movement, improvements in mental health.Other studies show nutrition also has an effect on our mental health. How much sugar and refined foods we eat play havoc with our blood sugar levels and moods. The lack of specific nutrients in our diet has been shown to lead to vital processes not working well. The brain is an organ that needs food just as much as the rest of our body. When we are in a low mental state, we often don’t take care about our diet.It is easy to understand the benefits of combining energy healing with optimum nutritional support for mental healing. A mind body spirit detox, cleansing out the old, restoring flow and putting back in optimum fuel in terms of food and in terms of what our spirit feeds on: nature, life, people, relationships, love.So in fact, by a complete mind body spirit detox healing retreat could be a great way to help mental healing or form a new kind of mental health retreat.

The Wonders of the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection – Mind Body Spirit

Like many people, I’ve witnessed some amazing events or been given incredible anecdotes suggesting a mind-body-spirit connection. What exactly is going on here?I have seen somebody carry a 250-pound man on his back while he walked bare foot over a pathway laden with shards of broken glass. His feet were totally unscathed after the event. When I was at university, my tutor studied psychosomatic affects on asthmatics. One day, one of his subjects was told of her father’s unexpected sudden death. Five minutes after hearing the bad news, she died of a massive asthma attack. Some of the most extraordinary phenomenon I’ve ever come across was that from studies conducted on multiple personality disorder (MPD) patients. These are individuals who had gone through traumatic and painful experiences (usually from child abuse). They had considered the experiences to be too painful to bear. So in order to cope with the situations, they somehow chose to switch off from being their normal selves and take on a different personality to deal with things: What makes this unique is that one personality may have no memory of the existence of the other personality. As life goes by for an MPD, an increasing number of these amnesically compartmentalized personalities can develop. Each personality with its unique trait develops usually to deal with the different traumatic and painful situations.-Some of the things that have happened with these individuals are extraordinary. It could be said that their minds can affect their behaviour to such an extent that it defies the very nature of reality. For examples, from studies, one MPD patient has been known to produce all the symptoms of type-2 diabetes. Then, when switching to another personality, become normal in blood glucose regulation.Another MPD was known to have one personality that was belligerent in character, always making trouble and alcoholically intoxicated. However, he could quickly switch to a mild-mannered personality and become totally sober, completely unaffected by the drink. Some MPD patients have been known to change eye colour during their different personalities…It could be said that the mind-body-spirit connection has been shown from studies using the placebo effect: One group of subjects, not knowing that there was no medicine involved, only a sugar pill they had each taken, were then told that they would be made well. The outcome produced a significant number of subjects who got well. This contrasted with the other group who were actually told that the pill was only a sugar tablet: This group did not produce any significant results. Why did the first group produce a significant number of well individuals, when both groups with the same ailment took exactly the same thing, an ineffective sugar pill? The subjects that got well from the first group demonstrated the power of the faith they had in this situation Yet another example of the mind-body-spirit connection.Indeed, the mind-body-spirit connection covers a wide range of subjects. Whether it’s related to the bio-psychological model which entails thoughts, emotions, behaviours and social factors that affect health, or the more far-reaching such as out-of-body or near-death experiences, it clearly shows that there is a whole lot more to the nature of reality than what we currently understand and we would do well to learn more from.

The Rake Philosophy – 10 Min’s to Total Mind-Body-Spirit Connection! – Mind Body Spirit

The Way Of The RakeMany years ago in the southern regions of a land far away lived a man by the name of Hewko. A poor man by providential state but rich in Mind, Body and Spirit.”Relationships” he would say, “are the true paths to wealth of soul, peace of mind and health of body”.And,”Relaxation is not for pillows as pillows are not for the relaxed”!Many seemingly wise and yet puzzling things he did say. . . leaving the disciples who sought him no further along in wisdom than before. No more peace of mind than a rabbit in the wild afraid to venture out of its hole for fear of being eaten. No less confused and no more focused on their self imposed task because they failed to act.But they sought him out all the same as all seekers must seek someone other than themselves to “show” them “the way”!The way of ‘The Rake’ clears all pathways that are unclear due to the fallen leaves of timeAnd what of you dear reader. . . do you also seek the spiritual healing that comes with the words of the Great Sage Hewko? Be of good cheer- the secret lies in the essence and foundation of The Rake! “The Way of the Rake”, as Hewko would say, “clears all pathways that are unclear due to the fallen leaves of time”; and I will share with you in a very few words the philosophy of The Rake and how you can apply it this very day with no further delay of peace to mind, depth to soul and life to body.”Just as the pathway of the forest is obscured by the leaves that fall there on. . . so also our minds are unclear by the task that fall upon our minds”. Too much technology, too many Business opportunities, too many bills to pay and just too many places to be and things to do. We are overwhelmed, our minds are cluttered, we do not exercise, we do not sleep. . . we know what we must do but do not!Meditation is a straw that eludes the grasp; yoga is an exercise of mind and body that does not always satisfy; crystals are debated, set on shelves and forgotten; and when feeling sluggish conventional medicine offers no cure- we seek “holistic” and/or “alternative medicines only to find more “alternatives” to the “alternatives”! Hewko would not deny all of the above as potential healing sources of mind, body and spirit. . . but one must first develop the discipline of The Rake! The Mind Body Spirit connection is Earth connected. . .All religions teach the importance of the Spirit Earth connection. The Bible says in the creation story of Genesis, “with labor and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life”. Man continually shirks his duty as “husband” of the land and wonders why he feels so lethargic. The sowing and reaping of years gone by is more and more distant from the lives of modern man. Hewko says, “Reach into the soil of your own backyard and grow something”!The Way of the Rake is nothing more than the rake you can buy at the local hardware store. . . take rake in hand and touch the Earth! Mind, Body and Spirit unite in that one simple action and you are centered, balanced and whole. The rake is literal but only part of it. Cultivate the earth, plant the seed and help it grow! The law of sowing and reaping has always been taught since the beginning of time through the planting of seed and is the foundation for all business and romance. If you are unable to find your way through religion. . . rake! If you are unable to quite the mind. . . rake! If you are overwhelmed with bills, business and the cares of this world. . . rake!Unplug from TV and computer, go outside and touch the Earth. Today’s modern man allocates these basic life giving energies to other men who regard these God given privileges as nothing more than a 9 – 5 J.O.B. How can we be sure our Mind, Body and Spiritual sufferings are nothing more than self imposed when we go for months and, for some, years without rolling in the hay?The man of religious conviction who studies the Bible and yet avoids his “curse” can no more expect God to answer his prayers than he can expect tomatoes to grow where he has not prepared the soil. Back to the land should be our motto. Home grown should be the description given the vegetables on our table. And the law of sowing and reaping should be the first law written on our hearts. . . Mind, Body and Spirit begins where the salad grows.Hewko’s Final Words”Clear the leaves from the path of your mind with The Rake! Touch the Earth and the Earth will touch you. When we Rake we use the Mind, we use the Body and we find our Spirit whole”.

Mind Body Spirit Health, Do You Know How to Keep All Three Healthy? – Mind Body Spirit

Here are some ways we can create our mind body spirit health and keep all three healthy. Making sure our three bodies are working at their top performance is essential for good health. Our first part of mind body spirit health is our mind, subconscious or emotional body, this body works invisibly to help us achieve our goals in life. We have control over it to some degree and are able to reprogram it to help us achieve what we desire most. Our emotional bodyWe need to keep our subconscious body healthy by keeping good relationships and fixing broken ones. If we keep hold of old broken relationships and don’t try to fix them, either by healing the relationship or by forgiving and then forgetting the relationship then our emotional body still feels hurt, and the hurt can cause other problems.Another thing about our subconscious body is that it keeps thousands upon thousands of situations and thoughts inside itself. If any of these thoughts or situations are not fulfilled or completed then we are renting rent-free space in our brain for those hurtful or unfulfilled things. If we can complete those things or forgive and forget, we can open our emotional body to better and greater things to come. One way to help our emotional body is by talking to ourselves in a mirror. This may sound funny at first but it is a very good way of helping our emotional body in its health. We can start out by asking ourselves”How are you today?” and “It is good to see you again.” Then we can start by saying “I would like to complement you today on…” We then start to list all the things that we have accomplished today. They can be very little things like going for a walk, or chewing our food properly so that our digestion will work better, or that we made a step towards a better relationship with someone, or that we are doing more exercise, or we are completing one of our goals. Our emotional body loves hearing all these praises and it will thank us afterwards by giving us a happy and satisfied feeling. After we are finished talking to our emotional body, we can tell ourselves in the mirror that we love ourselves.Having a healthy respect for our self is a very important part of mind body spirit health. Telling our emotional body we love ourselves, helps a great deal in balancing our bodies, because many times we may feel that our life is missing love, or friendship, or we may be unsatisfied with our physical body and because of that unsatisfied feeling, our emotional body is affected. However, when we tell ourselves that we care and we do love ourselves our emotional body becomes happier and is then more willing to listen to our needs.Next on our list of mind body spirit health is our physical body. This is a very important part because our physical body has a big affect on our emotional body as well. Our physical body.We need to keep our physical body fit, strong, and healthy by doing daily exercises, by eating right and by doing our best to live a stress free lifestyle. If we can achieve these things, our physical body will be in top shape. We will feel full of life, energy, vigor, strength and confidence. Our emotional body will thank us for our efforts because from having, a well toned and healthy body, we create good remarks and admiration from others. We also have good sex appeal. Our emotional body loves these things, so by keeping our physical body healthy we start to help our emotional body as well. The last part of our mind body spirit health exercise is to help our spiritual body. Doing this will greatly help the other two bodies work together nicely. Our spiritual bodyWe can keep our spiritual body happy by giving in charity to others in need, by being kind and humble to others, by praising God or the universe, by setting an example for others to follow.Anything that we can do that will help others in living better, in feeling better and in learning more about God or the universe makes the soul happier. Our souls are happiest when they are in tune with God or the universe. So, by doing acts of kindness and charity to the less fortunate ones, we can further our progress towards the greater good.If we can practice on a daily basis, be kind to everyone, be humble to others, and learn to forgive and forget, our souls will develop a great happiness, which will help us to become balanced in all three of our bodies.

Mind, Body, Spirit Healing vs Traditional Psychotherapy/Psychoanalysis – Mind Body Spirit

The word “psychology” is the combination of two terms – study (ology) and soul (psyche), or mind. The derivation of the word from Latin gives it this clear and obvious meaning:The study of the soul or mind. This meaning has been altered over the years until today, this is not what the word means at all. The subject of psychology, as studied in colleges and universities, currently has very little relationship with the mind, and absolutely nothing to do with the soul or spirit. It is important to understand that words and ideas are supposed to refer to something. “The tree in the yard” refers to an actual thing that can be seen, touched and experienced. “The walking his dog at dawn” refers to an actual event that can be seen, observed and experienced. The realm of mind is an actual realm that can be experienced, and at one time there were words that accurately referred to this realm.Dictionaries define “Psyche” as:The spirit or soul. The human mind.In psychoanalysis, the mind functioning as the center of thought, emotion, and behavior.Dictionaries define “Soul” as:The spiritual or immortal elements in a person.
A person’s mental or moral or emotional nature.
Traditional psychotherapy/psychoanalysis fails to address the all-important relationship to one’s true spiritual nature.Traditional spiritual practice often bypasses -and thus fails to transform – the psychological conditional patterns and unconscious beliefs that arise from our personal histories and adaptations. In modern psychotherapy we treat symptoms because symptoms can be quantified and identified, or so it is claimed by traditional modern medical and psychiatric practices. Thus Emotional Pain is described in terms of symptoms–Depression, Anger, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Self-Esteem issues, Mood Swings, Compulsive Behavior, Chronic and Acute Fear, Self-Injury, Suicidal Thoughts, Shame, Guilt, Eating Disorders, or Addictions) does not heal itself. Time, marriages, children, success, wealth, buying a bigger house, or faster car, changing jobs or relocating will not CURE it. The damage is sometimes very deep, pervasive and profound. It is a soul injury. The person has been robbed of his or her integrity, core identity and trust.Emotional, Physical or Sexual trauma in childhood is ‘violence’ that does not require force. The child is thrown into a ‘state of shock.’ For some the memories remain conscious, while others drive them beneath the conscious level. The coping mechanisms the child used are carried into adulthood and impact the person’s life on every level–Emotional, Physical, Mental, Behavioral, Spiritual, Sexual and Relationships. While these coping mechanisms were appropriate then, they are a ‘problem’ in adulthood.Traditional mental health professionals ask: “What is wrong with you?” or “What happened to you?” Asking, “What is wrong with you?” or “What happened to you?” implies blame, sickness and fault. Asking, “What did you experience growing up?” –allows the person to begin the process of discovering the source of their pain and healing the wounds.Traditional psychotherapy/psychoanalysis neglects the fact that we feel, sense, and experience global political mass consciousness, as well as our individual consciousness, like never before. A Mind, Body, Spirit approach addresses all three, therefore opening the door to true balance and healing.Well-being comes from the understanding of the Self, the family, the local community in which we live, and the global community of which we are part. We are each one heart of the Whole; each heart here to express its unique piece of the Whole. Knowing Self creates a sense of “I as a piece of this Whole,” different and one at the same time. The process of understanding the Self, the family, the local community and the global community has its foundation rooted in metaphysics.Metaphysics is the science, which investigates first causes of all existence and knowledge. It seeks to explain the nature of being, the origin and structure of the world, in relationship between the ethereal and the physical. Metaphysics holds that the soul or spirit and the physical body are one yet separate; here the applied psychology of religion comes to bear. The metaphysician’s teachings help soothe the emotional and physical problems of youth and maturity, illness and death. Herein, a transformational process occurs between the work of the Facilitator and that of the individual. Because the metaphysician or doctor of metaphysics can serve as both a facilitator as well as a source of spiritual comfort, he or she espouses universal spirituality through holistic health.Metaphysical Healing a.k.a. Transpersonal Healing is the process of reconnecting the person with their inner being. Reconnecting can be achieved through meditation, introspection and over time accessing our inner self, however, few people have the discipline, inclination or know how to affect this process. Therefore, employing the help of a professional who practices Mind, Body Spirit Healing/Transpersonal Healing will quickly establish the foundation for empowerment, self-esteem, peace of mind and on-going spiritual and emotional growth. The facilitation of the process is exceedingly easy. The person sits in a slightly reclined position with eyes closed while the facilitator assists the person to access their “Higher self.” The “Higher self” refers to the part of you that has the highest possible perspective of who and what you are and why you decided to be here this lifetime. Your higher self loves you more than you can possibly love yourself consciously, and strives constantly to direct your personality self. The “personality self” is who we think we need to be in order to be safe here; the opinions and instincts of our personality self have developed since the moment we individualized in the womb, and perhaps before. The higher self has somewhat of a higher perspective of our human “doings” here. This can be likened to a view of our life path and actions from a helicopter above us. This higher self is akin to our “soul self.” I like to call it the “all seeing self”…constantly moving us around on this chessboard of life. This soul self or “higher self” knows just exactly what we need to do at any moment and strives to tell us through such things as dreams and instincts. Connecting with this “higher self” consciously is very empowering. Working with this metaphysical principle is often called “transpersonal” because it transports us to a direct contact with the highest part of ourselves. Consciously connecting the higher self, the subconscious mind, and the conscious mind allows us to have a balanced and complete metaphysical healing. (The subconscious mind is the inductive computer that cannot deduct, but merely remembers all perceptions we have ever had, from any lifetime.)Metaphysical and Mind, Body, Spirit HealingIn metaphysical healing, the Facilitator assists the person to connect with the three major parts of themselves–mind, body, spirit, and to go back to the inner child, or “child of the inner light.” All things came from light, so internally we are all light, no matter what camouflage (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, shame, guilt, sadness, eating disorders, substance abuse, etc.) we have adopted to keep our “inner child” safe. We ourselves often do not know any of this consciously, but when you learn it, and consciously give this “trilogy” our empowerment to act in our lives, amazing healing occurs. This is true spiritual healing. We have many bodies that all empathize and work to help one another. The physical is the lowest or most “base” of these bodies, so that when these different bodies have problems that hurt us, they eventually show up in this body. Since all the bodies help each other by drawing attention to some special part of us, we cannot avoid dealing with a problem. The soul directs the attention there by running the “most powerful” emotional experience over and over again – at least vibrationally – so that we will eventually “get it” and look for the original cause…In this the soul reclaiming technique of looking for the damaged “inner child” becomes very important. This is because when we are hurt too badly we sort of “splinter off” or “cocoon” into the child we are at that moment of the most hurt and dis-empowered self. The person we are just continues on doing the best we can to grow and develop. When we become strong enough, the soul urge to become “whole ” again becomes empowered, seeks out the means by which we can “reclaim” this “inner child,” who seeks to help us become whole again.Metaphysical healing is a very simple process, though its explanation is lengthy. We consciously know of this child part of us and it’s pain inside. Unfortunately, we are seldom given the tools with which to reclaim this part of us and unite this inner child with the person we have become now… This transpersonal healing is very complete, much easier and more efficient than you can believe, and wonderfully fulfilling. This is the original abandonment: when we separate off from ourselves because we simply are seeking to learn and grow and the lesson seems way too hard, we become “segmented off,” less powerful, and believe we have to be victims. We are all very powerful, incredible “beings of Light,” and it is time we took control of that loving power and help each other heal and recognize the beauty of all our “inner child self;” help them become reclaimed and we, therefore, become whole, healed, beautiful beings with a higher perspective of our true spiritual wholeness. Only then, can we accomplish what we have come here to do and recognize our soul’s real purpose for being here at this time. The benefits of healing are all encompassing. In working with people for 23 years, I have learned, no matter how urgent or grim a person’s predicament seems to be, I know without doubt if they are WILLING to do the mental work of going within to release old beliefs, feelings, thought patterns and forgiving, anything can be healed. The belief that some issues or conditions are ‘incurable’ whether it is emotions or physical illness, which is so frightening to so many people, only means that the particular issue or condition cannot be cured by ‘outer’ methods and that the person needs to GO WITHIN to effect the healing.Whether the issue is anger, sadness, fear, guilt, shame, or humiliation there is a negative thought pattern that produces them–thus these consistent thinking patterns create our experiences. A condition can be as annoying as acne or as dreaded and frightening as the ‘C’ word–Cancer. By changing our thought patterns, we can change our experience, thus healing the condition. The issue or condition came from the inner trauma the person experienced and can be healed–never to return again.

The Mind Body Spirit Business and Life: 6 Key Questions Answered – Mind Body Spirit

Finding happiness in life isn’t easy. Most people will never find happiness in life because they don’t know what they want, and even if they do, they’re not sure what to do to achieve it, or they don’t believe it is possible. There are a lot of simple things you can do to change your life. It takes patience and time. Since 90 percent of our lives is habit, then the key is to focus on your habits and begin to change those habits one at a time. If you have residual baggage from your past, systems like the Healing Codes or the “How Your Mind Can Keep You Well” meditation will help you remove those blocks to achievement and allow you to heal.Understanding how this simple system works is crucial to getting the most out of it. Like anything else, what you put into it determines what you get out of it. If you feed your body junk food, fill your mind full of negativity and neglect your spiritual life, don’t expect to reap the benefits of a happy, joyful and abundant life.1. What Is The Mind Body Spirit Business And Life?It is taking a total body approach to your business and life. When you develop a strategy to change your life in one of the three main areas: health, wealth or relationships, you take a mind, body and spirit approach. You approach each problem from three different directions and then have the mind, body and spirit working together, in tangent, to solve the problem. To successfully change, your body must take the right action. Your mind must believe the right things and your heart, part of your spirit, must agree with your mind.2. What Are The Three Key Areas Of Concentration? The three keys to the system are the mind, body and spirit. You must have a healthy mind, body and spirit in order to operate at 100 percent capacity in your life. If you have baggage or issues, these things put a drain on both your resources, energy and your body. Get rid of the baggage and take effective action to deal with your issues, and you restore you energy levels and benefit your health. Also, it is much more effortless to try and attain your goals when you have peace, joy, love and focus in your life.3. What Are The Three Key Areas Of Goal Setting? The three key areas of goal setting are health, wealth and relationships. Without good health, you don’t have the energy you need to accomplish your goals. Without true wealth, you don’t have the resources you need to to make the change necessary and finance your dreams. Resources can be anything from an education to financial resources and also the people in your life. Your success, as well as achieving your goals, is not dependent on having money. It is dependent on finding effective solutions to your problems and releasing your baggage and then taking action.Relationships are icing on the cake. What is the point of becoming successful if you don’t have someone to share it with? None of us operate in a vacuum, and if you want to be truly happy, the most important way is to have good relationships. We were born to love and be loved.4. What Is The Basis Of The Concept? The Mind Body Spirit Business and Life concept is simple: every strategy you devise to change your life focuses on all three keys so you develop a strategy that is effective in helping you accomplish your goals. Since the mind, body and spirit work together, every change you make must include these three things. It is based on a concept I developed after reading “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles.Implementation of this three step system is based on what I learned from reading Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles.” He mentions a suggested morning routine that includes 20 minutes of exercise, 20 minutes of meditation and 20 minutes of reading inspirational material.Although it is influenced by my study of Jesus’ teaching, Zen and Quantum Physics, as well as my time serving in the United States Army, it is belief system independent. It operates on the laws of universal human truth and the laws of the universe. Because of it, this system works for anyone regardless of belief system. It is about bringing your beliefs in line with the universe and how it works.5. How Do I Implement This Strategy In My Life? The system is really simple. You spend 20 minutes a day on each focus: mind, body and spirit. That means 20 minutes of exercise, 20 minutes of meditation and 20 minutes of reading something inspirational to feed your mind and help you change what you believe. You choose what type of exercise you do, what you read and what meditation you use, so this is a custom program.6. Where I Can I Get More Information?Read my book, “The Hour of Power: When Jesus, Zen and Quantum Physics Meet the US Army.” It is available for free to anyone that wants it. My mission is to help anyone who wants to change his/her life and achieve a life of health, wealth, prosperity and happiness.

Mind, Body, Spirit, and Emotions As One – Mind Body Spirit

Participating in a course “Inspirational Leaders” our assignments including reading and selecting a word-a-day from Spirit at Work Cards: Bringing Spirit and Values to Work by Lance H.K. Secretan. It is interesting how this book and the vocabulary concepts presented within fit right into my 365 Words for 2015 project. While some mornings I hit the floor running with enormous ideas for writing and the letters just spill across the page, on other mornings I seek inspiration. Today that arrived bound in the word congruency.A congruent character places trust and honesty at the forefront of every situation. The mind is aligned not only with the tasks at hand – work, family, friendship, product development – but with the advantages and disadvantages that the task holds for each stakeholder. I may declare a vacation in Hawaii is the best chance for family reunification but without planning and interactive discussion I may discover twenty people jammed into sardine-sized rooms while rain pours, liquor decants, and arguments discharge. Such drizzle on paradise is not beneficial to anyone. My mind created a terrific scenario but my spirit failed to touch and tap into the lives and feelings of others.Body entails seizing all that is within and putting it forward. My mind designed a vision of perfection, my body and internal tickings must combine to carry it out. We have decided to remodel a house for out neighbors. She just returned from knee surgery so the steps are a disaster; he suffers dementia and the twists, turns, and torn carpet jumble his steps and his thinking. I must possess a roadmap for our work, plus it is essential to include everyone in the blueprint to achieve success. Our minds combine as our bodies unite to produce. Organization reigns and dedication sees the job from start to finish. Mind and body are congruent in goals and aspirations. We are reaching out to help others, while making certain that ours is the desired help needed.Along with mind and body is the essence of spirit. Our spirits drive us with determination to help others with little attention to personal gain. I say little attention because when we work for the common good, there is definitely much that the soul earns. The rewards are not monetary, although money can be accepted as it can then be transferred into a new project. As far as personal richness, that blossoms in the depths of the heart, the core of the individual. The spirit when given in totality seems to regenerate energy with each movement and step. The mind may tire, the body grow weary, but the spirit powers on. It is important to examine feelings of exasperation and frustration to determine their root. Often it is not that the product or project is not good or that the mind and the body were misaligned but that the spirit lacked the fortitude to accomplish the greatest ends. Finally, into the mind/body/spirit mix come emotions. I view emotions as those thoughts and feelings that escape, whether through a slow simmer or busting burst to energize or deflate. Emotions intertwine our passions and reactions, our sentiments and sense of excitement. They are contagious; extremely so. When you laugh, most often others laugh too. When you giggle, they will giggle along with you. When you scream with passionate joy, the resonance fills the air and the spirits of those with whom you work resonate. The same is true when your emotions are a drag. Your anger bites; your fury hurls ferocity into the faces of others. Wrath and vehemence destroy the best of intentions and ruin the congruency of individuals and teams, bodies and souls. As you approach the next major objective with purpose and aspiration, outline your plan, jot possible roadblocks and detours, evaluate the bonus surprises that may just pop up along the way, and then move into congruency. This congruency includes your personal configuration and orientation as well as that of every person with whom you will come into contact. This does not mean to fall and fail because of a desire to please that only spells disaster as the project can never become more than a dim apparition. It does mean communication, interconnections, and an interwoven effort toward ultimate success.
